I decided to join the Tales of Instahammer challenge this year, painting up my Ash waste nomads. I managed to build and prime all models right before the new year so all that’s left is the paint \ud83d\ude42 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I started off with the warband on foot. These are lightly converted to give them a bit of a Nausica\u00e4-feel (my favourite Ghibli movie), using some Sylvaneth insects from the tree-lord kit and the Kurnoth hunters.
I have added some converted units to the nomads to build on the insect theme, apart from the Dustbite helamites. The revenant seekers mounts have been converted to carry flying snipers and Alarielle’s giant beetle became a mode of transport. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have also used a warband to convert handlers for the big beetle and as proxies for the resin miniatures of the range as I prefer resin over plastic. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So far I managed to finish painting all ten of the starter warband, so that’s the January part of the challenge done. Hopefully I can keep up, tho I have a history of trailing off into doing something completely different after a while so not making any promises.
